You know what pisses me off? How people are so upset over James Frey and A Million Little Pieces. WHO CARES? I mean, seriously, why is making up something that goes in a book that big a deal? We're at war and the man in control of the most powerful country in the free world is a trigger-happy fundamentalist Christian moron and this is the best thing people have to be outraged over?

Also, in reading the annotations in FROM HELL, I was amused to see that Moore got his information about Freemasonry from Robert Anton Wilson via the Illuminatus! ("Who will help the Widow's son?") and that according to Alan, Neil Gaiman has a filthy mouth in at least five countries.

i agree with the ridiculousness of the upsetedness (word?) over frey. i think society is officially overapplying the assumed pretense of reality tv. in a lot of ways, i think the most valuable/interesting/thought provoking contribution in that sort of work are the lies.
